I didn’t want to listen, now I’ve got to pay. Out here on a mission. If it doesn’t go my way.. all will be forgiven, this I won’t forget, no. I got a condition, makes me act so strange. Goes into remission then it overtakes my brain. Beat into submission, I’m going up, down and up again. Been bouncing off the walls, nothing can break my fall. Trying to keep on breathing. You make it easy to break down, easy to turn around, easy to walk away. But I don’t know how to stay away, you keep pulling me in again and I can’t live With or without you. With or without you. You can push me down but you’ll never hold me under. You can slap me ‘round but you’ll never steal my thunder. I always come out swinging, every time. Out here on a limb like a puppet on a string Just a slipping on my teardrops, dancing when the beat stops Checking for a heart beat to get me up, down and up again Been bouncing off the walls, nothing can break me now I’m trying to keep on dreaming. You make it easy to break down, easy to turn around, easy to walk away. But I don’t know how to stay away, you keep pulling me in again and I can’t live like this Not like this Get me off this ride it’s got me so sick inside. Let me off where I got on before it all went wrong. Get me off this ride I can’t see what’s in front of my eyes. It’s spinning me in circles, spinning me in circles. You make it easy to break down, easy to turn around, easy to walk away. But I don’t know how to stay away, you keep pulling me in again and I can’t live You make it easy to break down, easy to turn around, easy to walk away. But I don’t know how to stay away, you keep pulling me in again and I can’t live With or without you. With or without you.

Take Me To The Top - Kirsten Price 2010 - It’s electric, we’re connected, been infected by the dark and the light. Try to fake it, can’t mistake it, does it matter if it’s wrong or it’s right. No one’s keeping score, what you come here for. Get up off the floor and show me something beautiful. Take me to the top want to rock with you all night long, spin that song Over and over and over. The magic, the music, the motion. Keep it pumping all night long ‘ till we see the sun. Take me to the top. Don’t let your body stop. Breathing faster, moving closer, feel your heart beat, like it never beat before. Who said love was ever stronger than desire, give it up now give me more. No one’s keeping time, we can cross that line. Put your hand in mine and show me something beautiful. Take me to the top want to rock with you all night long, spin that song Over and over and over. The magic the music the motion. Keep it pumping all night long ‘ till we see the sun. Take me to the top. Don’t let your body stop. While the earth rotates around the sun. While we drive ourselves, as we drive ourselves on. As we rise and shine one and all. We got to get our kicks before we fall. Take me to the top want to rock with you all night long, spin that song Over and over and over. The magic the music the motion. Keep it pumping all night long ‘ till we see the sun. Take me to the top. Don’t let your body stop.

about

“Brixton To Brooklyn” the second solo studio album from British recording artist Kirsten Price. Heart wrenching piano ballads, urban club bangers and straight up pop/rock stompers are all represented here in their purest form. The glue melding together this ambitious romp through the rough and ready territory of ultra catchy radio friendly ear candy, is Price’s inimitably smoky, sultry, trademark voice. 2008, a year when British female RnB singers were making a big splash stateside, had her being compared to contemporaries such as Amy Winehouse and Joss Stone. This latest offering already has her being heralded in the blogosphere as “the perfect pop voice” to rival the likes of Pink and Kelly Clarkson. Displaying a flexibility and high end pop/rock sheen that was absent from her first album, all the new tracks are remarkably written, produced and performed by the artist.
